Bronwyn Hack

Bronwyn Hack, Untitled, 2023

Bronwyn Hack is known for her multi-faceted practice which spans sculpture, painting, printmaking and ceramics.

Her 2D works merge subject and background to form a consolidated linear perspective. Throughout her career, she has maintained an interest in animals, particularly dogs, as well as the body and bones. Her soft sculpture focuses on sections of the body, the anatomical creations made with brightly coloured thread and fabric and often finished with faux fur, beads, and sequins. Hack’s ceramic work draws on the key themes across her practice, including animals, bones, and popular culture references. Hack has worked at Arts Project since 2011. Hack has presented two solo exhibitions at Arts Project in 2016 and virtually in 2020 and has exhibited in numerous group exhibitions. In 2018, she undertook an artist-in-residence at the Australian Tapestry Workshop. Her work is held in private collections Australia-wide.
