Arts Project Australia artist Joanne Nethercote has been selected as the winner of the Frames Now Work on Paper Award at the Linden Postcard Show 2023-24!

 

The Linden New Art Postcard Show, now into its 33rd year, provides a unique opportunity for all of us to celebrate creativity, and a platform for you to showcase your work to a large and eager audience. No matter what you make or who you are, the Postcard Show is for you. It is a celebration of our diverse, complex, and vibrant artistic community.

This year’s Linden Postcard Exhibition will run from 10 December 2023 to 11 February 2024. Artworks will be available for purchase from 9 December 1PM, both online & in gallery.

Arts Project Australia artist Eden Menta and collaborator Janelle Low have been shortlisted in the Incinerator Art Award for their photo Eden and The Gorge.

The Incinerator Art Award provides a platform for dynamic and innovative artistic expressions, critical and experimental practices to theme of Art for Social Change. The Award pays homage to progressive architects and designers of the Essendon Incinerator in 1929 Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony. The duo believed that art and architecture are ethical enterprises that should aim to bring about positive social change.

Shortlisted artists will have their artworks displayed in the Gallery for the Incinerator Art Award 2023 exhibition. The opening night taking place on Friday, 6 October will see the announcement of the Incinerator Art Award and Moonee Valley Mayoral Award winners.

Arts Project Australia artist Georgia Szmerling has been shortlisted for the 2023 Annual Gosford Art Prize.

Originating in the early 1970s the prize is open to all practicing artists from across Australia and presents the selected winner with a first prize of $15,000.

The opening event and award announcement will take place on Friday 8 September 2023 from 6pm at Gosford Regional Gallery in New South Whales. The exhibition featuring work from the finalists will continue until Sunday 5 Novemeber.
