Arts Project Australia invites you to our 40th Anniversary Fundraising Auction at Leonard Joel on Sunday 5 October 2014, with special guest Hannah Gadsby.
The opportunity to present a collection of significant artworks for Arts Project Australia’s 40th Anniversary Fundraising Auction, has been made possible through sponsorship by Leonard Joel and Leeuwin Estate Wines, along with the generous provision of artworks by a number of prominent artists and collectors.
The auction at Leonard Joel in South Yarra includes artwork by Samara Adamson-Pinczeweski, Colleen Ahern, Tony Albert, Rick Amor, Peter Atkins, Irene Barberis, Dorothy Berry, Charles Blackman, Julie Blyfield, Dorothy Braund, David Bromley, Deidre But-Husaim,  Jon Campbell, Alan Constable, Yvette Coppersmith, Noel Counihan, Emily Ferretti, Stanley Horace Gardiner, Nancy Grant, Linda Judge, David Keeling, Inge King, Sim Luttin, Fiona MacDonald, Julian Martin, Chris Mason, Rob McHaffie, Noel McKenna, Lewis Miller, Alice Nampitjinpa, Nicole Newman, Jill Noble, Angus O'Callaghan, Emil Orlik, Jim Pavlidis, Adam Pyett, Denis Ropar, Victor Rubin, Lily Sandover, Hayley Scilini, Anne Smith, Wilma Tabacco, Maureen Thompson, Utopia Artist, Frank Werther, Kim Westcott, Deborah Williams and Anne Zahalka.
All proceeds from the event will go towards ensuring that every artist practising in the Arts Project Australia studio has access to professional grade materials, exceptional artistic guidance, premium exhibition and promotional opportunities in our gallery, as well as national and international galleries. Arts Project Australia's success is due to the dedication of its artists, board, members, staff, volunteers, donors, as well as government and sponsorship partners.

All funds raised will go directly to Arts Project Australia to support artists in their Northcote studio. All the artworks are 100% donated and there is no buyer’s premium for this event. To bid at the auction, registration is essential prior to commencement and absentee bidding forms and phone bidding will be available.


Tickets to the fundraising event are $50, and all ticket sale proceeds go to supporting our artists in our Northcote studio. You can purchase tickets here.


Arts Project Australia is a centre of excellence that supports artists with intellectual disabilities, promoting their work and advocating for inclusion within contemporary art practice.
Since 1974, Arts Project Australia has built and enviable reputation nationally and internationally for its creative and individual studio philosophy, as well as for the outstanding artwork produced. Our artists and their work are promoted to the broader community through exhibition opportunities in a range of local, national and international galleries. Artists are also represented in many public and private collections.
To commemorate the 40th Anniversary, an International art conference ‘CONTEMPORARY OUTSIDER ART THE GLOBAL CONTEXT’ will held in partnership with The University of Melbourne, from 23-26 October 2014.
