To the End of the Earth - Works by Terry Williams

29 January 2007 - 3 March 2007

Venue: Arts Project Australia
Opening: 28 February 2007

Arts Project Australia is pleased to present "To the End of the Earth: Works by Terry Williams". Terry Williams is a long standing participant of Arts Project Australia and has attended the studio program for over eleven years. While Terry's work has been exhibited in numerous group exhibitions over the last few years, this is his first major solo exhibition since 2000.

"To the End of the Earth: Works by Terry Williams" is curated by Moya McKenna and represents a decade of Terry Williams' art making. The title "To the End of the Earth" was chosen to suggest the conscious of Terry Williams' art.

Terry Williams is a hybrid artist, allowing his thoughts and imaginings to be expressed in multiple forms and mediums. The exhibition will bring together line drawings, wood works, a sound recording on a 7" and a stop-motion animation.

This exhibition will explore Terry's work which deals with the earth, the creation of both a new environment and human race. Man and the planet are the dominant themes exploring alien existence, cannibalism and lunar landscapes. The concerns that Terry's works address relate fittingly with the current state of the world and the possible future of our planet.
