On Saturday 11th Feburary from 10am to 5pm our stockroom will be open to view the work of Julian Martin and Wendy Dawson.
Characterised by their rich velvety surfaces and intriguing abstraction, Julian Martin’s pastel works make a unique visual statement. Highly method...ical in his approach, Martin will carefully choose a photographic reference or an arranged still-life, before selecting his highly refined palette.
Wendy Dawson’s art practice is one of regimentation and structure. She produces her work by applying thousands of linear marks to the paper using paint pens and
permanent markers, creating an almost knitted quality on the paper and the illusion that the picture is somehow electrically charged.
