Jodie Noble

Jodie Noble is a multi-disciplinary artist working across the mediums of drawing, painting and ceramics. Infused with a sense of physicality and expressive energy, Noble’s work often draws from popular culture, referencing television characters and film celebrities as well as historical figures such as Frida Kahlo, Francisco Goya, Queen Elizabeth II and Dame Edna. In addition to these explorations, Noble has a penchant towards developing collections of work that are autobiographical in nature. Jodie Noble has been a regular studio artist at Arts Project Australia since 2001, and presented her first solo exhibition at Arts Project Australia in 2003 followed by ‘Jodie Noble Solo’ in 2011. She has been included in numerous group exhibitions including, Melbourne Art Fair, Royal Exhibition Building, Melbourne (2004, 2006, 2008 & 2014), ‘Patrick Francis and Friends, Robin Gibson Gallery, Sydney (2015) and Pearls of Arts Project Australia: The Stuart Purves Collection, National touring exhibition (2007-2009). Her work is held in private collections throughout Australia.
