Megan Sloan is predominantly a painter but works in a variety of mediums, utilising a distinctive sense of composition and line. Her work often depicts the world of fantasy and features subjects from ancient mythology such as goddesses, heroines, dragons, kings and queens. Sloan’s compositions weave in and out of space and often resemble tapestries in their complexity and use of colour. Recently Sloan has broadened her reference material to include work based on architectural forms with detailed line and layered patterning. Megan Sloan (born 1993) is an emerging artist that has been attending the Arts Project Australia studio since 2013. She has exhibited in group exhibitions including ‘Home’, locations around Arts Centre Melbourne, the city and the surrounds, and each Annual Gala at Arts Project Australia since 2014.
