The work of four Arts Project Australia artists – Fulli Andrinopoulos, Samraing Chea, Alan Constable and Julian Martin – will be on display at Melbourne Art Fair 2018. This year the Fair is returning from 2-5 August, taking place within the Southbank Arts Precinct.
While Fulli Andrinopoulos continues with the compositional format of the circle (a universal symbol resonating with notions of totality, the infinite and timelessness), Samraing Chea’s wry drawings feature various pop culture scenes alongside the architectural imagery of the industrial revolution.
Constantly evolving, the collection of new work by Julian Martin (also represented by Fleisher/Ollman, Philadelphia) demonstrates deft skill, precision and a continuous refinement of practice, evoking a flattened yet striking perspective. And last but not least, a series of ceramics by Alan Constable (also represented by Darren Knight Gallery, Sydney and DUTTON, New York) embodies haptic qualities of form, with the artist creating cameras, binoculars and more.
