Chris O’Brien is a multi-disciplinary Melbourne-based artist who works in painting, printmaking, drawing, and sculpture. He is primarily concerned with representing domestic dwellings in various states of decrepitude that have imagined narratives and stories attached about the inhabitants, which often includes himself as a central character. His latest solo exhibition will explore his recent series of soft sculpture houses, exploring how O’Brien gains influence by places he has visited and worked in.
This show coincides with group exhibition Tethered to the Site: The Archive of Memory.
