Intricate Formations examines Robyn Doherty’s art practice, which involves the creation of intricate works using paint pens and markers on paper. Doherty’s gentle observations of serene landscapes, seascapes, animals and linear pattern formations are complemented by a deliberate, considered application of the medium and elegantly balanced composition. Her interpretation of ubiquitous objects, houses and moments in time, presents a unique and creative perspective on the world around us.
Doherty, born 1983 in Sandringham, has been a regular artist at Arts Project Australia since 2011. She has been included in group exhibitions including Linden Postcard exhibition, Linden Centre for Contemporary Art, Melbourne Art Fair, Royal Exhibition Building, Melbourne and has work in private collections throughout Australia.
