PAST OPENING: The song till the end + Home & the fabric of the familiar

Thank you to everyone who came along for the opening of Laura Sheehan’s solo show The song till the end and group show Home & the fabric of the familiar. Especially thank you to Lucy Feagins, Founder and Editor of The Design Files, for opening the exhibitions and for giving an incredibly thoughtful speech.

The song till the end is Laura Sheehan’s first solo show at Arts Project Australia and explores aspects of Sheehan’s personal experience alongside Sheehan’s interest in the juxtaposition of fantasy and reality.

Home & the fabric of the familiar investigates the personal and aesthetic responses generated by the idea and place of home, articulating and investigating visions of safety, comfort, sanctuary and belonging. The exhibition includes works by Dionne Canzano, Peter Cave, Valerio Ciccone, Boris Cipusev, Alan Constable, Brigid Hanrahan, Fiona Longhurst, Anne Lynch, Amani Tia, Chris O’Brien, Rosie O’Brien, Daniel Pace, Simon Paredes, Lisa Reid and Terry Williams.

Both exhibitions will continue until 22 April 2017.
