Simon Paredes

Simon Paredes in an emerging artist exploring everyday subject matter, working in coloured pencil on paper. His bold, simplified forms and choice of subject matter are reflective of the imagery of pop art of the 1960’s and 70’s and possess an endearing quality. Simon Paredes has been working in the studio at Arts Project Australia since 2014 and has participated in the Annual Gala each year. He has also participated in group exhibitions: Whatever you love, you are, Arts Project Australia, Melbourne, 2019; POP! Reflections on Popular Culture, Wangaratta Art Gallery, Wangaratta 2018 – 19; Home & the fabric of the familiar, Arts Project Australia, Melbourne, 2017; and Home, locations around Arts Centre Melbourne, the city and the surrounds, 2015.
