Michael Camakaris is a multi-disciplinary artist whose practise encompasses drawing, painting, collage, printmaking and ceramics. His work is characterised by subtle detailing and layered graphical mark-making. His compositions are bold and often references art history; drawing from surrealism to dada and abstraction. He has worked in the Arts Project studio since 2010 and presented his first solo exhibition Five Bulls, No Bull as part of the Shepparton Art Museum Drawing Wall Commission in 2013. He has been included in numerous group exhibitions and has work in private collections worldwide.
