He’s had early success with re workings of iconic paintings by some of the great masters including; Manet, Gauguin and Picasso, as well as using references drawn from the relics of the Ancient World. His approach also includes studio painting where he works from stylised still life installations, as well as plein air environments. Amani Tia (born 1969) has been a studio artist at Arts Project Australia since 2013.
