Steven Ajzenberg

Steven Ajzenberg (b 1964, Melbourne) is a mid-career figurative painter whose process is often infused with a wry sense of humour. Over the years a clear pattern of development can be seen in his practice. While early work explored comic illustrations and paintings accompanied by text, a gradual stylistic evolution has seen him demonstrate a more complete and assured focus on colour and composition. Public collections include the National Gallery of Victoria. His work is also held in national and international private and corporate collections.
