Stillness, Motion and the Unexpected with the Northcote Penguins

Today in Professional Practice the Northcote Penguins had the privilege of being part of a full day workshop with Performance artist Tania Smith.  Together we looked at the concept of Stillness, Motion and the Unexpected to investigate ideas through performance.   For instance, how the language of gesture and body motion can have as much meaning as words and  how the meaning behind  this ‘movement language’ can change when viewed as a dynamic experience within a group, and how unexpected non-verbal poetry can be created in this way.

It was a fun day of, daggy dancing, experimentation and creative thinking and all participants enjoyed moving beyond their usual comfort zones!
