Terry Williams’ major solo survey Rhythms of the Handmade is now open! With an art practice that spans the figures of industrialism, the domestic, both human and alien bodies and creatures of various disguises, Rhythms of the Handmade is a vast display of Terry’s twenty seven-year career that spans painting, drawing and sculpture.
Thank you to everyone who attended the official opening and thanks to Rebecca Coates, Director of Shepparton Art Museum, for a great opening speech that touched upon Terry’s art process and the important place of soft sculpture in contemporary art. A further thank you to our curators Sim Luttin and James McDonald and finally a big thank you to Leonard Joel – Specialist Auctioneers & Valuers for the exhibition catalogue, which features an essay by Ricky Swallow.
The exhibition is on until October 15 – hope to see you here!
