Lisa Reid

Lisa Reid is an accomplished multimedia artist working across ceramics, painting, drawing and printmaking. Often utilising preliminary workings of an image as a blueprint, Reid’s meticulous practice is inspired by old family snaps and popular culture figures. In particular, Reid’s portraits of well-known icons reflects a unique perspective on the personalities and images that dominate our culture. Lisa Reid has been attending the Arts Project Australia studio since 2002 and had her first solo exhibition at Arts Project Australia in 2015. She has been exhibited in numerous group shows at Spring 1883, ACCA, c3 Contemporary, Moree Plains Gallery, Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery and The Ian Potter Museum of Art. Reid’s work is held by private collections, the National Gallery of Australia and the National Gallery of Victoria (as gifted by Stuart Purves).
