Lisa Reid

Lisa Reid works across ceramics, painting, drawing and printmaking, often utilising preliminary workings of an image as a blueprint for her work. Reid has a meticulous and intricate practice which is inspired by working from life, old family snaps and popular culture images and ultimately provides a unique view of everyday life. Lisa Reid (born 1975) has been attending the Arts Project Australia studio since 2002 and had her first solo exhibition ‘Lisa Reid: The Devil’s in the Detail’ at Arts Project Australia in 2015. She has been exhibited in numerous group shows including ‘Renegades: Outsider Art’, Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery Swan Hill, VIC; ‘Sit Down, Shut Up and Watch’, Film & New Media Festival, South Australia; and ‘Everyday imagining: new perspectives on Outsider art’, The Ian Potter Museum of Art, The University of Melbourne. Her work is held in the National Gallery of Australia’s collection.
