A Current Affair

Arts Project Australia artists are astute observers of current news and events. One need only attune their ears walking through the APA studio to overhear quiet, perceptive commentary and loudly vocal witticisms on the state of the world. A Current Affair presents APA artists takes on local and global headlines.

Bringing neurodivergent perspectives to the fore, the work in this exhibition highlights the thoughts, observations, humour and curiosity of APA artists.

Grouped thematically, the exhibition is segmented into news bulletin sections including National, World, Politics, Technology, Environment and Entertainment alongside editorial illustrations by Terry Williams, Gavin Porter and Tycho Dahlstrom. Other featured artists include Adrian Lazzaro, Aidan Sefo, Alan Constable, Anthony Romagnano, Boris Cipusev, Cathy Staughton, Chris Mason, Chris O’Brien, Daniel Pace, Daniel Richardson, Eden Menta, Joey Balliro, Josef Power, Lisa Reid, Michael Camakaris, Peter Ben, Samraing Chea, Steven Ajzenberg, Steven Perrette, Timothy Noble and Valerio Ciccone.

Curated by Shell Odgers.
