Bronwyn Hack’s practice is multi-faceted, spanning sculpture, painting, drawing, and ceramics. Throughout her career, Hack has consistently explored themes involving body parts in a journey to understand how we work and what makes us human. Her soft sculptures use brightly coloured threads, and often incorporate found and gifted ephemera, fabrics and trimmings with imbedded history, to create anatomical forms with a playful, tactile quality. Her 2D and ceramic works expand on her investigations into the body, as well as consistently returning to themes around animals and popular culture; tying together her diverse artistic interests.
