William McConnell’s prolific drawing and printmaking practice explores body swapping, hypnosis and ghostly x-ray forms. He frequently reimagines pop culture icons into abstracted linear figures, including characters from Ghostbusters, Power Rangers and Back to the Future. McConnell uses fluorescent markers and high-contrast inks in his artworks, referencing a sci-fi aesthetic. His text works are poetic and mysterious, accentuated by his unique typographic style.
