Join us in celebrating 50 years of Arts Project Australia with this free community event.

We are delighted to open our Northcote Studio to the public with an afternoon of workshops, demonstrations, art sales, live music and more.

A unique opportunity to see inside our world-renowned studio, connect and create with our artists and celebrate five decades of ground-breaking and joyful art making.

  • Drop-in badge making workshop with Chris O’Brien
  • Drop-in costume life drawing workshop with Samantha Ashdown and Will Murray
  • Drop-in kids drawing corner with Kate Knight
  • Plein air painting by Amani Tia
  • Live music from Jon Campbell Band and DJ Jordan Dymke
  • Art, zines and collectable 50th merchandise for sale

Arts Project studio is a two-story wheelchair accessible building.

The second story is accessible via lift or stairs.

Wheelchair accessible and gender-neutral toilets available on site.

This is a public event that may be noisy. Those with audio sensory sensitivities are recommended to bring ear protection.

Service animals and guide dogs welcome.

Social pets are unable to be inside the studio.

You will not be able to drive down the street to be dropped off directly in front of the studio. Cars and taxis can drop visitors off at Cunningham or Walker Street. Please call us if you have any questions about accessibility on (03) 9482 4484.
