Brendan Slee’s practice is grounded in a highly personal visual language that incorporates numbers, robots, wrestlers, and monsters. Working primarily in graphite pencil, he creates intricate compositions filled with symbols, geometric forms, and stylised characters. These figures often gather at the edges and corners of the paper and are occasionally highlighted with colour, revealing a distinctive spatial sensibility.
Slee has worked at Arts Project Australia since 2007. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including at Gallery 101 in Ontario and the Melbourne Art Fair, and his work is held in private collections throughout Australia.
