Anne Lynch has been fiercely committed to her art making practice in the Arts Project Australia studio since the early nineties. In her pastel works, lone figures are suspended over gentle fields of colour, summoning a sense of isolation and melancholy. Where her works often seem to represent fleeting moments in time, they also carry an air of nostalgia and memoir. Anne Lynch (born 1956) has been a regular studio artist at Arts Project Australia since 1995, and had her first solo show at Arts Project in 2013. She's been included in numerous group exhibitions including ‘Renegades: Outsider Art’, The Arts Centre Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise; ‘Outsider Art Fair’, Phyllis Kind Gallery, New York, United States; and ‘Home Sweet Home: Works from the Peter Fay Collection’, National Gallery of Australia Travelling exhibition, Tamworth City Gallery, Tamworth and Dunedin Public Art Gallery, New Zealand. Her work is included in the National Gallery of Australia’s collection.
