George Aristovoulou

George Aristovoulou works in a variety of media from pencil to ink and gouache. His style exemplifies figurative abstraction, whereby he carefully segments the picture plane creating broad linear stripes that often incorporate a figurative image. George Aristovoulou (born 1981) has been attending the Arts Project Australia studio since 2011, and has exhibited in exhibitions at the Arts Project Australia gallery annually since then. He has been included in numerous group exhibitions including, Melbourne Art Fair, Royal Exhibition Building, Melbourne; 'Home', locations around Arts Centre Melbourne, the city and the surrounds; 'Frame of Mind: the figure and beyond', Latrobe University, 'Writer's Block', the Borchardt Library, Latrobe University, Bundoora; and 'Darebin Art Show', Bundoora Homestead Art Centre, Bundoora.
