Wendy Dawson’s practice is one of repetition and structure.
Her work is produced by applying hundreds of linear marks to paper employing only two or three colours. Through this process, she gradually builds layers, creating an almost knitted quality. Gold and Silver is a stunning example, the imagery reminiscent of streaks of gold though a rock formation.
Dawson has worked at Arts Project Australia since 2008 and has been included in numerous group exhibitions including the currently touring exhibition FEM-aFFINITY. Her work is held in public, corporate and private collections in Australia.
