Join Arts Project Australia (APA) artist Danny Lyons in conversation, coinciding with his Gallery Shop exhibition Self in the Spotlight.
Danny Lyons will present an artist talk on Monday 7 October from 10-11am at Benalla Art Gallery as part of their First Monday series. Accompanying Danny will be APA digital specialist, Lesley Pinder.
Danny Lyons is a multi-disciplinary artist whose practice spans drawing, photography and video. Finding inspiration in his heroes, Lyons reimagines himself as iconic figures in pop culture, creating playful fan art derived from content featuring Silverchair, KISS, Rambo, Joan Jett, Gremlins, E.T., the Essendon Bombers, and AC/DC, among others.
Lyons has worked in the Arts Project Australia studio since 2017. He has exhibited widely and held solo screenings and discussions on his celebrated video work.

Benalla Art Gallery has full wheelchair access via a ramp entrance at the front of the building. The café deck and floor can also be accessed via a ramp.
Disabled toilets and infant facilities are also available within the building.

From Melbourne to Benalla on a V-line train, estimated traveling time is 2 hours. The closest train station to the Gallery is Benalla station, a 15 minute walk.
Located 10 minutes off the Hume Highway. Car parking is available outside the Gallery next to the Botanical Gardens.
